A modified design from the first of the 2 BIL units, unit 2152 was the last in the series and was delivered in November 1938 for use on the London Waterloo to Reading Route. Unit 2152 was finally withdrawn from British Rail service on 4 April, 1970 and following withdrawal it was initially stored at Lancing, before being moved to Selhurst
